Writers' Corner is dedicated to all Eritrean writers in Minnesota and Diaspora to display their creative writing and other similar artistic works.

It's very exciting century we are living in. With the growth of the Internet and related emerging technologies it's possible to convey ones idea easily, rapidly to everyone, everywhere and at anytime. The advent of the Internet and wireless communication technologies has made our global village smaller and smaller and smaller.

It's suffice to say that the Internet is a heavenly space of information. It's the duty of us Eritreans in Minnesota and Diaspora to harvest and disseminate such information back to Eritreans in Minnesota in it's pure and safe form.

Exchange of ideas through writing on the net can be very important and crucial step to better the living standards and enhance communication between Eritreans in Minnesota and Diaspora.

Hence it's the purpose of the Minnesota Community in general and Internet Committee in particular to invite all Eritrean Scholars, Academic, students, youth, elders and everyone else to post and write their mind.

It's imperative to inform prospective writers and contributors that this web site is a vehicle by which the voices and concerns of Eritreans in Minnesota and Diaspora can be addressed. Hence it's the responsibility of each and every one of us to write their mind and be open about it. It's recommended that the pieces of writing and materials that get posted must be forward looking, optimist, reliable and informative in nature.

One need not be a Rocket Scientist or brain surgeon to write an exciting piece or inform the public of interesting events. Therefore it's with this context that everyone is urged to hold ones pencil and guild that pencil to express what's in mind, the thought process, ones concern, the communities concern and make it available to the whole community to talk about it, learn from it and write about it. May be many of us will have similar issues. May be others may have the solution for such issues. May be others may expound these same issues and package them with their version of story. The point is that there is a wealth of exchange of ideas that need to be exchanged amongst Eriteans in Minnesota and Diaspora. So let's start and keep these ideas flowing and express them in writing.

Every Eritrean Families in Minnesota and Diaspora are urged to write and share their respective concerns affecting their daily lives. What can each family learn from one another? What is the best way of organizing and communicating? How should each Eritrean family interact with one another to optimize cooperation, understanding and support for one another?

Every Eritrean youth in Minnesota and Diaspora is encouraged to take that pencil and write about any thought in mind that is essential for our community. Our youth has the potential deliver messages that may be so important to share amongst their peers and the whole community at large. Things that can benefit us all. After all it's this generation that will be the future of Eritrea. We need talented youth that will go that extra step in recording our rich culture, heritage and etiquette. It requires courage and dedication to restore and save one's culture and custom.

Every Eritrean scholar, academic and professional is encouraged to take that pencil and write about things they see fit to make us the envy of other communities. This elite group has the responsibility to guide, inform, educate and encourage our community. They can leverage their experience, wisdom and skills to enhance the living conditions of every Eritrean Community in Minnesota and Diaspora. They can be role models in their respective profession or field to our thriving young and community members. They can analyze the problem areas in our community and recommend better alternatives.

This forum can be a signature for present and future generation of Eritreans in Minnesota to develop the culture of informing the public, sharing of ones thought and learning from one another.
